The Rosyface Shiner (Notropis rubellus) is a small North American fish found throughout the central and eastern United States and southern Canada in clear pools and riffles in large creeks and small rivers. It can grow to 3.5 inches in length. It is olive-colored to bluish with an orange lateral stripe, and breeding males are reddish. Its maximum reported age is 3 years.

The rosyface shiner eats insects, fish eggs, algae and inorganic material.
